Tripping
Player falls down on faceoff- no trip
| Correct Call: | No call. The black team’s player falls down, but does not create the trip. What creates the trip is the white team’s player running into the downed player. | |
| For this to be a penalty: | There would need to be a flagrant/purposeful act to get the white player to trip. | |
| Game Level: | This should be called at every level. |

| Correct Call: | Tripping. 1 minute personal foul. This one is nuanced. Because the defender’s check first lands on the shoulder and never contacts the stick, and then trips the player, this should be tripping. | |
| For this to not be a penalty: | The initial check needs to get stick first. If he gets stick first, and the follow through ends up tripping the offensive player. No foul. | |
| Game Level: | This should be called at all levels. |
